RESIDENCY AFFIDAVITS
Definition of Residency
Residency is defined as living in a home exclusively within the boundary of the Tuttle Public School District.
Residency Affidavit Requirement
If the Parent/legal guardian does not own or does not have a rental agreement and cannot provide the necessary information to verify their address because they are residing with a Tuttle Public School resident on a temporary or permanent basis shall be required to complete our TPS Residency Affidavit form. The affidavit will become null and void if the student moves from the affidavit enrollment address. A new affidavit must be completed each year prior to enrollment.
Who MUST be present to complete a Residency Affidavit?
Both the homeowner and the parent/legal guardian of the student(s) must be present to complete our TPS Residency Affidavit form that is notarized by a TPS Administrator.
Acceptable Use of Residency Affidavit
Both the student and the custodial parent/legal guardian must physically reside full-time with the TPS resident. The living arrangements are to be of necessity, and not to avoid school attendance within the district where the student would otherwise be require to attend.
The following documents/items must be presented by the TPS Resident to Tuttle Public School Administration and sign our TPS Residency Affidavit Form:

Oklahoma State Law specifies any person who willfully makes a statement in a residency affidavit which the person knows to be false shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than (1) year or a fine of not more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or both such fine and imprisonment. Tuttle Public Schools will also bill the legal resident for the cost of educational services. Tuttle Public School Administration reserves the right to make home inspections to verify residency.
